Speaking Engagements
Cost for speaking engagements is dependent upon format, session length, and audience size. Both remote and in-person presentations are available for your homeschool group or conference. You may choose from currently prepared topics, or request custom topics based on your interests. Current topics include:
Selecting Toys that Help Kids to Learn: Play is an important component of childhood development, helping children to learn and explore their environment and develop skills they will use into adulthood. Because of this, it is important to be intentional about what toys you give your children to play with and how those toys are influencing their play. Learn how to be intentional when choosing toys so you can better direct your children’s development from birth to young adulthood.
Learning Outside the Classroom: Learn a technique for developing your own academic lessons from everyday activities. While textbooks and more structured academic learning have their place, by mixing in real life learning situations into your educational routine you can not only assess how effectively your children are learning the academic skills from their textbooks but also teach them in a way they just might find more appealing and enjoyable than spending all day in the classroom.
Living as a Multi-Generational Homeschool Family: What if instead of moving into an assisted living facility or long term care setting, Grandma and Grandpa could move in with your family and remain a connected part of you and your children’s everyday lives? Learn strategies for serving as a caregiver to older adults and tips for making affordable home modifications to improve safety that will hopefully make this option feasible and financially attainable for your family!
